We are seeking a full-time Entry level Help Desk Analyst to join our dynamic IT services team in our Calgary Office. As a Help Desk Analyst you will provide technical support to Cansel in all areas of hardware and infrastructure. The role involves working in a fast paced environment where you will contribute to the success of our staff by reducing down-time in all areas (and at all levels) within the organization. The successful candidate will have strong technical and problem solving skills with a passion to learn.
Duties- Provide tier 1 and 2 support to internal staff
- Respond to requests in a timely manner and have the ability to explain technical situations to non-technical individuals
- Record incidents/problems by clearly documenting the issue, troubleshooting steps taken, and resolution comments in a trouble ticket system
- Setup, installation, and configuration of desktops, laptops and printers
- Remote support via phone, email, or in person to other sites within Canada
- Involvement in various projects as required
- Training and guidance to end users on the use of equipment and software
- Rotating 24/7 on-call support
- Other duties as required
The successful candidate must have the following:
- Excellent logical, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows OSs, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP, VPN (IPSEC, SSL)
- Experience working with Blackberry, iPhone, Android smart phones in an enterprise environment
- Knowledge or exposure to Linux, Mac, Virtualization, Citrix, Domino/Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, Blackberry Enterprise Server, ERP Business Software
- Information Technology degree or Technical College Certificate in computer science or related specialty
- Bilingual in English and French would be an asset
