Installing TGO on a Vista OS PC |
Introduction
The key is to run “Windows XP Compatibility Mode” on the setup.exe from the TGO install disk.
Simply running the installer application that pops up when you put in the disk doesn't work, since not all of the required files are loaded, including some of the Coordinate System Manager core files.

Troubleshooting Reduced Radio Range |
This month we will review a common issue: reduced radio range.
The factory specified range for the HPB or TM3 radio is +/- 8 kilometers. The range can be affected by any one or a combination of: the environment, the antenna, the antenna’s cables, the battery and the radio itself.
