Feature Extraction in FARO As-Built

Course description

This course is designed to demonstrate how to get the most out of FARO As-Built feature extraction tools. The course presents the fundamentals of importing scan data to CAD environment, sectioning, and using feature extraction tools. This enables users to efficiently gain deliverables using various techniques and streamline point cloud feature extraction workflow. This course will use FARO SCENE for scan registration and FARO As-Built for AutoCAD for point cloud manipulation and feature extraction tools.

• Utilize scan navigation
• Utilize different techniques of segmentation and sectioning
• Utilize UCS creation from points, planes and slices
• Fit points, lines and solids to point cloud features
• Automatically fit polygon to a multi-slice feature
