Optimizing the Image Captured by FARO Laser Scanner

Course description

This course is designed to help the FARO Scanner users to improve their understanding of factors affecting the image quality and corresponding Point Cloud in the field and in the office.

Students will learn how to:

  • Photography concepts of taking photos
  • Settings to improve the image quality in field
  • Simple techniques to improve the quality during processing
  • “Photoshop” the image in an external image editor
  • Basics of image editing
  • Blurring faces, Mapping correction of objects to walls
  • Best practices and workflow for better Point Cloud quality

Prerequisites:

This course is for current FARO SCENE users that seeking more control on the quality of their imagery and eventually point cloud to stand out.

Training Agenda:

This training includes two short breaks (15 minutes each) and a lunch break (1 hour).
