I recently viewed an installation of the Anthropocene Project at the National Gallery in Ottawa. This temporary exhibit allowed the viewer to explore the impact of human activity on the planet through photographs, film, etc. The Anthropocene period defines the current geologic epoch during which humans irrefutably began altering atmospheric, geologic and biospheric processes. Talk about a buzz kill, right?
