FIVE Observations

True North | Spring 2021

Five Observations

This section of True North is comprised of five Cansel fun-facts. They don’t quite have enough meat on the bone to warrant an article but are none-the-less worthy of attention. Here are this quarter’s FIVE Observations:

1.

Seafloor Bathymetric Portfolio

With many improvements to Seafloor’s Hydrone system and increased resources for our mapping team we are loaded and ready for this year’s bathymetric surveying season. Rent or buy from your local branch.

2.

New Trimble TSC5 Is Now Shipping!

The Trimble® TSC5 controller is an Android-based survey controller featuring a five-inch screen and full keyboard—ensuring fast, efficient operation, even while wearing gloves. Rugged yet lightweight, with all-day battery power, the TSC5 is easy to carry and easy to use. Combined with Trimble Access™ software to do precise field data collection, the TSC5 offers the ideal blend of high performance and reliability you expect from Trimble.

3.

New Trimble SX12 Is Now Shipping!

Following up on the wildly successful SX10, the SX12 scanning robotic total station has improved cameras and a vivid, eye-safe green laser pointer. Combine the SX12 with Trimble Access Field and Trimble Business Center to maximize efficiency and automation. The SX12 will start making you money immediately.

4.

Trimble R12i GNSS Receiver

We really can’t stress enough how much of a difference the R12i has made to GNSS surveying. With inertial measurement based tilt compensation, immunity to magnetic interference and enhanced L5 signal for use under canopy, this receiver far and away outperforms anything on the market.

5.

Cansel’s Placement Program – Purchase Equipment Your Way

You can buy your surveying equipment from Cansel and you can lease it or rent it but now you can also enter into a placement contract. Cheaper per month than renting, this program allows you to obtain state-of-the-art GNSS or Robotic Total Station systems and pay for them on a monthly basis. Sometimes called Hardware As A Service, this method of acquisition will not touch your capital budget and you can trade in and trade up when newer technology becomes available. This is perfect for time-based projects. As your Cansel account manager about this program today.
