Seafloor Systems HyDrone™ Portable Hydrographic Survey USV The Seafloor Systems HyDrone™ (4.5 Generation) is a highly portable, one-person deployable hydrographic survey USV designed for stable, efficient data collection in shallow, confined, or otherwise difficult-to-access waters. Its catamaran-style hull and differential thrust steering deliver predictable maneuverability and excellent stability at survey speeds, making it ideal for inland lakes, rivers, ponds, and reservoirs. The HyDrone’s rugged, UV-resistant HDPE hull and watertight closures protect internal electronics, while field-swappable batteries and lightweight design enable extended missions with minimal logistics. Optional echosounder packages — including Seafloor HydroLite™ and configurations with AutoNav™ or RCV systems — allow tailored setups to match specific hydrographic measurement requirements. With a typical survey speed of 2 knots , up to 4 knots top speed , and up to 9 hours of battery endurance , the HyDrone™ balances range, payload capacity, and portability for daily field operations. Key Features One-person, portable catamaran USV for hydrographic survey Stable differential thrust steering and watertight construction Optional echosounder configurations (HydroLite™, AutoNav™, etc.) Up to 9 hours survey endurance with field-swappable batteries Compatible with all major GPS/GNSS systems Lightweight, durable design for rapid deployment Ideal For Geospatial survey teams, utilities, environmental monitoring, and engineering firms conducting shallow water and confined body hydrographic surveys where portability, stability, and simplicity matter.
