FAST PWG II Pulse Wave Generator for Acoustic Pipe Locating The FAST PWG II Pulse Wave Generator is designed to help locate buried pipelines under difficult conditions using an acoustic pulse that travels along the pipe. Connected to a hydrant or suitable in-house installation, the PWG II provides an effective method for tracing pipe routes when conventional locating techniques may be difficult or impractical. The generated pulse can be detected from the surface using FAST Aqua M series listening equipment and a ground microphone , allowing operators to follow the route of plastic, metal, and other types of pipelines.
